A two-part special featuring the "sorcerer of Jazz" - Lionel Hampton, with his Big Band and soloists Benny Bailey and Art Farmer. In the 50's, he used to jump onto the tomtom of his drum kit and drove his fans onto their chairs. No such risks today - yet he still electrifies his audience, dancing on stage during his concerts!
